Bernhard Hiller's professional background is in water supply engineering with more than 30 years of experience in program management as well as in the design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects in the fields of water supply, sanitation and mini hydro plants. He has been engaged in development and disaster relief interventions as program / project manager and consultant in water supply, sanitation and water conservation in Nepal, Ex-Yugoslavia, Indonesia, Moldova and Syria. His strengths are in the areas of project development and project cycle management, capacity building and in his specialisation in all aspects of water supply and sanitation interventions from the planning stage, through the realisation and up to the sustainable management of the systems put in place. For the years 2006 until 2008 he was head of the specialised WatSan group of the Swiss Humanitarian Aid. |
