Working principles

Five principles underpin our work:
  • poverty reduction: embracing international development targets to combat poverty.
  • good governance: enabling the effective delivery of public goods and services in line with limited available resources and capacities.
  • capacity building: augmenting the capacity and capability of local organisations to deliver identified development outputs.
  • participatory approaches: working with project partners, local governments and communities.
  • high quality services: providing high quality services and continuously looking for ways to improve these (since 1997 Skat has used a certified quality management system according to the ISO 9001 standard).
